Steven Kee, History Teacher and Founding Dean of Academic
Affairs
Steven Kee is a man of many interests and talents. He brings just
the right combination of creativity and experience to our one-of-a-kind school.
He has a bachelor's degree in the social sciences and a master's
degree in biblical studies. After spending a number of summers farming
on family land originally homesteaded by his wife's grandparents
in North Dakota, he and his wife, Betty, moved there in 1975. Dr.
Kee began teaching reading and math and coaching a middle school
basketball team on a nearby Native American reservation and in another
small North Dakota community for a number of years.
Between North Dakota and North Carolina, Dr. Kee has taught in
Kenya and Paraguay, earned a doctorate in Educational Administration
from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro, served as an
advisor at two universities in North Carolina, and gained extensive
experience in the Greensboro Public Schools.
