You only need to take a look around to see that knowledge in science and technology is advancing in leaps and bounds. Maybe you're passionate about science, or maybe you find it a little intimidating. Either way, the American Hebrew Academy will give you the tools you need to discuss and understand scientific ideas.

Hands-on learning is part of every class here. In science, that idea comes to the forefront in our labs: whether the topic is cell division in biology or molecular structure in chemistry, our students learn by doing.

Of special note, we offer a course in environmental science that involves students in understanding and healing planet Earth.

Our lab spaces are equivalent to those found at colleges. We integrate Jewish values into the sciences through projects such as The Gardens of Israel, our etrog nursery and greenhouses and the world's largest geothermal closed-loop energy system.

In A Word ... "WOW"

Eureka! Awesome! Cool! Neat! However you say it, the feeling and meaning are the same: the rush of excitement and thrill of discovery that come with understanding something for the first time.

Tammy Williams, Ph.D., biology teacher and Dean of Academics, defines her profession by the "eureka moments"-when her students unravel answers to tough problems. As a result of small classes and cutting-edge labs, her students can turn science questions into vivid answers.
